“Spirituality” is Not What You Think

Spirituality is not connected to any saint, monk, or any particular religion. Nor does spirituality mean whether you go to a temple or mosque every day, how many times you perform worship, or whether you observe fasts or not. People often associate spirituality with these things, but it is absolutely not the case. Spirituality isn’t about after life of old or married. Spirituality does not mean renouncing everything. To be spiritual, you don’t need to abandon your family, or worldly possessions— home, car, or loved ones. One of the biggest misconceptions is that to be spiritual, you must give up everything.

This is the greatest myth, which is why even today, people fail to understand it and associate it with old age, bachelorhood and saints—thinking, ‘Once someone experienced everything and getting old or someone doesn’t want to marry, then they ready to let go and begin your spiritual journey.’ But that’s not the case. As long as you associate spirituality with the external world, you will never understand its true essence. Spirituality is about the internal transformation you bring within yourself.

Spirituality does not teach you to abandon things but to connect with yourself, with everyone and with this universe.

“Spirituality” is Living Our Higher Self

Spirituality is the journey of discovering our higher self, where we resonate at a higher frequency—experiencing purity, peace, love, happiness, and power. This happens when we start seeking the true meaning and purpose of your life and connect with the divine energy within and beyond. is about what benefits you can experience right now, no matter what age group you belong to—whether you’re old, a teenager, an adult, male, female, married, or unmarried. I would definitely like to say that every person must have spirituality within them, whether they are a householder or a renunciate —it doesn’t make any difference. Spirituality can benefit you anytime it doesn’t matter how age you are right now, and for that, the most important thing is Self-awareness—understanding Who I am ?

What my life’s purpose is ?

What my goals are ?

And what my values are ?

Spirituality will open very profound dimensions in your life and the second thing is to explore Universal Awareness—to understand its laws that apply to us, You should start young so that you can live your life in a better, more meaningful way.

Schools Teach Us to Survive Not to Thrive, The Missing of Life Skills in Curriculum

We are takes so much time for learning the A,B,C,D or recognizing letters alone almost near about 5-6 months. Then comes high school, followed by intermediate. You spend 25-30 years on academic education, which is merely vocational knowledge—something that can teach you to earn money but nothing beyond that. But how much time do you dedicate to learning life skills?

It takes you 35 years to become capable earn enough money and if you think that vocational education were so great, then why are people unhappy, falling ill, or stuck in toxic relationships?

Take, for example, the IAS officer from Buxar District Magistrate Mukesh Pandey who committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Ghaziabad. The Indian Administrative Service is considered the highest level of education in India, deemed extremely tough. That officer was responsible for managing an entire district, yet when a small incident happened at home, he couldn’t handle the stress and ended his life in Ghaziabad.

Material Science Alone Cannot Fulfill Us, Spiritual Understanding is the Key to Eternal Balance

Whatever we have been taught, it has only been material science. We have stayed away from spiritual science. If we do not understand spiritual science, we will never reach where we are meant to go. Even if we attain something, it will not be endless—it will be like happiness and sorrow. Assume that at 10 o’clock, a message you received from someone, and you will feel happy. By the next 11 o’clock, you received another message from someone, and you will feel despair. Life will be like that. But how should life really be?

it should be balanced—neither drowned in sorrow nor lost in happiness. Most parents want their child to become stable. But if you are not internally stable, how long will external stability last?

How long will that flat or house hold?

How long will that job last?

How long will that relationship last?

Without self-knowledge, you cannot attain true happiness. This separation, this conflict, this battle of ideologies exists because we are not even attempting to understand ourselves at a fundamental level. Our life revolves around food, clothing, and shelter—if we go beyond that, it’s just a few more shops, and in the end, the cremation ground. Beyond this, our world does not exist. Our thought processes are flawed, our education system is flawed. If parents do not instill these values (Sanskar) in their children from childhood, most children will never learn what spirituality truly is. But even then, it is not the fault of the parents, because their own parents raised them according to societal norms, and their parents did the same—they, too, merely followed tradition.

True Change Begins Within Transform Your Thoughts to Find Lasting Happiness

There are certain thoughts between 60,000 to 70,000 arise every day in our mind, and we believe we can change them through actions (karma). but this is not possible. Actions can change through thoughts—if you continuously cultivate good thoughts, there’s a possibility your actions will change. But the thoughts are like, Let me try to explain this with an example:

Suppose some guests come to your house today—around 5-6 people. Now, you are the one who invites them to stay for dinner, and now you have to cook extra food for 6 more people—this is your action (karma). But deep inside, you’re cursing them, thinking, “Why did they even come?”—this is your thought.

So outwardly, you’re speaking nicely, but inside, your thoughts remain the same. You can do good deeds superficially or for show, and indeed you might be doing them, but nothing will truly change. Because inside, you’re still the same—you behave some at night, another by day; inside you’re something else, and outside you’re something different.

We must refine these thoughts—nothing will be achieved by action alone.

Who am I?

Why am I here?

What am I doing?

What was I meant to do, and what am I actually doing?

If this contemplation does not happen, like our spiritual gurus, we will keep analyzing the world instead of realizing the Self. Self-realization is the only true solution in this world for endless happiness. All other efforts are temporary—they come and go. The sooner humanity understands this, the sooner it will attain a blissful life. otherwise we will never truly understand the real meaning of spirituality and will just blindly follow man-made religions and theirs gods in name only, endlessly fighting with the rest of the world, claiming that my religion is the greatest and my God is superior to all and this is happens since many decades.

God Is a Human Name but the True Divine Energy Lies Beyond Belief

In my life, whatever I have learned about the world, our planet, the history of the world, evolution, and all these things—based on that understanding, I have developed the belief that God does not exist. I believe in this universe, and at the same time, I respect people who have a different opinion. If someone believes that God exists, I respect their belief. But god is just a name given by humans, even though there is certainly an energy (or divine force). You may call it ‘God,’ but it is not the way people in this world have described or created it and as long as you keep believing in the ‘God’ shaped by people, you will never be able to connect with that real energy or the true God.

Respect is one thing, and blind faith is another. For thousands of years, many individuals—including our spiritual gurus, saints, kings and scientists—have been seeking knowledge about this universe and humankind. We must respect all of them—there is no doubt about that—because they discovered their life’s purpose and tried to guide humanity toward the same. Their role was that of a teacher, they wanted to educate us. But instead, we turned some of them into Gods and we don’t want to understand the ideology of some of them. That’s why we do not fully understand all these truths or continue striving to uncover them.

As a result, even today, we have failed to raise the level of our consciousness.

If God Created Everything Why Are There Different Gods and Beliefs Across the World

You might have heard people say that God created everything or made this world, but the question is—if God truly exists, why would He need to create this world in the first place? And if God created everything, then who created God?

From society’s perspective, if God created everything, on what basis did he create it—caste, color, power, or place? Because if that weren’t the case, how can there be different gods in different places? then did He create based on country peoples like India, Pakistan, Japan, China, America, etc., so people in different places worship different Gods like Allah, Vishnu, Buddha, Mahavira—so does that mean the theory is wrong? Did God create people based on regions? What kind of logic is that?

If I talk about myself, I wasn’t created by any God but by my parents, and they were created by their parents. all these things like computers, cars, houses, and everything else we see in the outer world—except natural things—have been created by humans using their minds then how you can claim that all the things is created by god. To fully understand the science behind this, you will need to study metaphysics. To understand this, you need to grasp the Observer Effect, which you’ll find referenced in monastic theory and Sankhya Darshan—that there is no separate creator other than us.

Real Worship is Beyond Rituals that Practice by Humans

People don’t want to practice righteousness (live by its principles), they only want to worship. That’s why they perform all these rituals—because it’s easy. Going to a temple or worshiping an idol at home is the easiest way for everyone. If I say, “Give up ego, give up anger, give up jealousy, live in calmness, live in joy” out of 100 people, maybe only one will actually do it. Because no one truly wants to follow these teachings. Instead, folding hands and performing rituals is much easier.

The True Meaning of Worship

Worship is far more than just a ritualistic worship of idols or deities. At its core, it is a spiritual practice that symbolizes devotion, gratitude, and inner connection with the divine.

Literal Meaning

  • The word “Puja” comes from Sanskrit:
  • “Pu” (पू) = Purification or completeness
  • “Ja” (जा) = Birth or origin
  • Together, it means “to honor with reverence” or “to awaken the divine within.”
